A winter's afternoon in Queens, coming out of Nogushi Museum. The sight of an almost worn out sofa thrown out on the side walk, astounded, Astounding!
The idea of a single "double seated" chair sprang to mind.
Two different heights, Two different depths.
The chair is never really sitting right way up, nor back to front.
The back and underneath structure is covered by a staircase mat hence, losing it's bearings,and giving both a new meaning in life
Prototype n°1 sold at Pierre Bergé & Associés after ths 'Wish List' exhibition by Li Edelkoort.
